Ethan Strimling Fights for Maine Workers

CJ Betit, Portland

Monday, September 10

Dear friends,

For the past three years, Senator Ethan Strimling has been the Senate Chair
of the Labor Committee. During that time he has led efforts to raise the
minimum wage, expand unemployment benefits for laid off Mainers, and
provide for workers who are injured on the job. He has fought to provide
health care for Fire Fighters, enhance retirement for mental health and
correctional workers, and stood up to General Dynamics when they wanted to
outsource union jobs. Senator Strimling has always made fighting for the
pocket books of Maine families his top priority.

That is why we are supporting him for Congress and why we are asking you to
join his campaign today.

We know that in Congress, Ethan will always be a friend of Maine's working
people and your early financial support will help him build the foundation
necessary to continue his non-stop fight for Maine people. As working
people struggling to put food on the table, put our kids through school,
and pay for health care, we want someone in Washington who has always made
our economic well being his top priority.

Someone who has not stopped fighting for Maine people for over ten years.
Someone who will lead the fight to close the gap between the rich and poor
that has grown so wide in the past six years. Of all the domestic issues
we as a country face, this one is probably the most dire. This
administration cares more about hedge fund managers making millions, than
Maine homeowners keeping their homes.

In these times, we need someone who understands what regular Maine people
are going through and someone who will never waiver from their needs. And
that someone is Senator Strimling. Ethan is someone who has dedicated his
life to enhancing the economic status of Maine people. From his work to
reduce property taxes and income taxes for middle-income families (he
serves on the Taxation Committee and was one of the leaders in last year's
effort at tax reform), to his aforementioned work on the Labor Committee.

Maine's working people deserve someone who understands the struggles we all
face and who will put our priorities first, always.
