Working Women Support Ethan
Nancy Bunting, Limington
Tuesday, September 25
Dear friends,
As working-women, we are concerned about this economy. It's getting harder and harder to make ends meet and there's no relief in sight.
We're concerned about the gap between the rich and poor which has grown so wide in the past six years.
We're concerned about an administration that cares more about hedge fund managers making millions, than about Maine families struggling to buy a house, send their kids to college, or pay for their groceries.
And we're concerned about a President who has cut taxes six times for the wealthiest Americans, yet refuses to address the crashing home values and rampant foreclosures of middle America.
And we can't wait any longer for relief.
That is why we are asking you to support State Senator Ethan Strimling in his upcoming campaign for Congress.
Ethan's life work has been focused on helping people make ends meet and make their lives better.
In the Senate, Ethan led the fight to reduce property and income taxes and forged a remarkable bipartisan tax reform package that would have reduced the tax burden of 85% of Maine families by over $100 million dollars.
As Chair of the Labor Committee, Ethan led the fight to increase the minimum wage, improve health care benefits, and protect laid-off workers.
Ethan has fought for us day in and day out--not just when it was easy, but more importantly, when it was hard. And now we are standing here beside him as he gets ready to run for United States Congress.
Because one thing is clear- we deserve a leader in Congress who will put our economic needs first.
Ethan has always put the economic needs of Maine families first. It has been his mission for over ten years, and it will be his top priority every day in Congress.
If you also believe Maine deserves a U.S. Representative who will put our economic security first, please join with us.
Because working families can't afford to wait any longer. We need Ethan in Congress fighting for us.
Sincerely,
Nancy Bunting, Limington
